Rizal Park in Manila is home to the National Museum of Anthropology, next to the National Museum of Fine Arts. Exhibits in this museum include artifacts from the Philippines' rich archaeological, anthropological, and maritime histories. The relics in these collections tell the tale of the Philippines' ancient past. This museum was established by the government as a trust in order to collect, record, preserve, display, and encourage research in the fields of education, science, and culture. The building that was once the Philippine government's Department of Finance is now home to artifacts from the country's early years. How to explore the National Museum Of Anthropology?

 - Stop by the building's courtyard to see a replica of a traditional Ifugao dwelling. These native dwellings previously served as homes to several Philippine ethnic groups. - The San Diego shipwreck, ancient artifacts dating back 500 years, and the zoology departments may all be found on the museum's second floor. - Displayed on the third level at the Bangsamoro Gallery is a Maranao kulintang musical set. The kulintang creates a mesmerizing melody when played in unison with bigger, suspended gongs and drums. Traditional kulintang music groups have been performing in the Philippines for generations as part of Southeast Asia's incredible gong-chime tradition. - The 'Kaban ng Lahi' Gallery on the same level features a tableau depicting the finding of burial jars. These collections are national archaeological treasures. - On the fourth floor, you may marvel at the exquisite Philippine textiles. Mats and baskets are not the only examples of cultural objects that can be observed; other examples include containers, clothing, and transportation mechanisms. This level also serves as a repository for Philippine traditional and ancient scripts.
