THINGS TO DO AT

  • PORT DES MINIMES:

Port des Minimes serves as the embarkation point for several sailing vacations:

Set sail or board a catamaran for a unique marine voyage. Many sailing schools invite young and old to take their introductory and advanced courses. La Rochelle's water is ideal for practicing boating because the islands of Ré, Aix, and Oléron shield it from swells. You'll have many options for water sports, including kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, jet skiing, tubing, and more.

  • Every boat journey is made special at Le Grand Pavois La Rochelle:

It is a well-known event that every industry professional looks forward to each year. It allows visitors to explore the about 700 boats on display, some floating boats, in variously themed zones set up at Port des Minimes. It frequently hosts regattas and sizable nautical tournaments that attract a remarkable number of boats worldwide. You can view the boats as they line up on the start line off the shore from Minimes Beach.

  • Port des Minimes nautical events:

A must-attend maritime event in La Rochelle is Grand Pavois La Rochelle. This well-known floating maritime display, founded in 1973, is a yearly success, drawing an increasing number of attendees and exhibitors. For all industry professionals, it is the most prestigious event of the year. It allows visitors to explore the about 700 boats on display, some floating boats, in variously themed zones set up at Port des Minimes.

  • Events on the nautical calendar:

The Allée des Tamaris offers a tour along the seafront in the salty sea air, and at the end of it, you can find La Rochelle's, Port de Plaisance. It's a terrific way to walk 'on the sea' and observe the boats coming in and going out! Cross the Passerelle Nelson Mandela to get to the Nouveau Monde sea wall.

  • Indulge in luxury on the cruise:

Port des Minimes aspires to excellence in its hospitality and services as one of the top ports in the world, with more than 5000 berths and a full marina on the Atlantic coast. It provides 450 distinct 'visitor' sites, including 90 in the Old Port of La Rochelle, the city's center, which received 4 out of 5 anchors from Gold Anchors.
