One of the most notable museums in Abha, the Aseer Regional Museum, is also the most expensive, especially in terms of construction expenditures. The museum has several rooms and galleries to display the many historical eras of the Saudi Arabian monarchy. The museum comprises seven identical structures, each highlighting a different aspect of Saudi Arabia’s history and culture. The lengthy history of Abha and Aseer Province is chronicled in the Aseer Regional Museum, which also showcases some of the traditional handicrafts from the area.

It is recognized as one of the most significant efforts to preserve and advance the legacy and culture of Saudi Arabia and its worth.

It is located in the heart of the city next to the Emira Palace, a building made in the Aseer architectural style.

Eight hallways exist. The first is devoted to greeting, the second to the appropriate region’s natural history and cultural heritage, the third to prehistoric times and the beginning of history, and the fourth to pre-Islamic ages. The fifth examines the region during the Islamic era, the sixth examines the modern era, the seventh is devoted to displaying the cultural legacy of the populace, and the eighth is for viewing temporary exhibits.
